Her most viewed video is a one-year-old tutorial titled "How to put on hair extensions!" which has reached 197,557 views as of May 22.
"Different things inspire me," said Santana. "Sometimes a picture of a celebrity, a color, or I want to do one of my viewer's requests."
"I am a YouTube partner," she said. "I can send my videos to YouTube and they put ads on them. Depending on how many clicks I get, that's how much money I get."
She declined to state how much.
Santana has also been offered advertisement opportunities from beauty companies, but does want to be a spokesperson because being the face of a brand would just mean advertising one specific brand in their videos, she said.
"I have met so many people through YouTube, that's why I love it," said Santana.
"Most of my feedback comes from North America, Canada and the US," she says. YouTube states her videos have been viewed from Canada, Germany, The United Kingdom, Australia, Barbados, Malaysia, Ireland, Italy, and Hungary, according to Santana. 83 percent are female and 17 percent male.
She's also gotten unwanted attention. "All girls on YouTube should be prepared for inappropriate comments," Santana said. "They used to freak me out in the beginning but now I just block and ignore."
