H1N1 vaccine clinics have been held at CSM for two days from Nov. 23 to Nov. 25 for priority groups at no charge.
Due to vaccine shortages, clinics for administering vaccine have been held by the CSM health center on campus for priority groups such as pregnant women, health care and emergency personnel, anyone living with or taking care of infants six months or younger, anyone from six months to 24 years of age, and anyone from 25 to 64 with a chronic medical condition or weakened immune system.
"We have received 500 doses and already given 400 shots," said health services coordinator Bartels. "The rest of the vaccines will go back to public health."
"We have not scheduled any more shot clinics, staff and students can get the shot in the health center while supplies last," Bartels said.
There are no side effects to the vaccine because it is a dead virus, said Bartels.
"After two days (of getting the shot) I got a small cold", said Jennifer Mathey, 20, Science major.
San Mateo county has received about 94,000 doses to date according to the county health department.
